The organisation

Taking part in things, meeting each other, learning, developing yourself and putting your ideas into practice are at the heart of the Meevaart.

The Meevaart is a fertile breeding ground, where you can experiment with original ideas and find new paths to a more harmonious and cohesive modern society. It is a place where your potential, not your limits take centre stage, and where your own interests and collective interests meet and come together.

The Meevaart is the neighbourhood living room. People drop in for a coffee, meet each other, or just read the paper. Some come here to work, grab a bite to eat, relax, participate in activities or organising them, or just to enjoy some company.

Residents’ organisations and initiatives can find space in the Meevaart for their own activities, and a community has formed in and around the Meevaart, where new ideas for activities are formed.

The Meevaart has a theatre hall, a gymnasium, and a large kitchen on the groundfloor where different groups cook every week. There are also a number of other rooms, large and small, where regular users can carry out their activities, but can also be hired for workshops, courses, conferences, meetings or book presentations.
